HOW TO MAKE WINTER DECORATIONS AFTER CHRISTMAS MORE AFFORDABLE

HOW TO MAKE WINTER DECORATIONS AFTER CHRISTMAS MORE AFFORDABLE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After the Christmas season is over and the decorations are taken down, many people start to think their homes seem bare.  Some welcome this time as an opportunity for a fresh start to the New Year.  Others feel that without Christmas Decorations their homes are dull and boring, but what if you could make your home look as beautiful without Christmas Decorations?  Decorating for winter is one of the most popular ways to get rid of winter blues.  It's easy to do, and it can be done with little to no cost.
ELIMINATE THE RED CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS
Christmas is often associated with the color red. Get rid of the red decorations in your home before you begin decorating after the holidays. All Christmas decorations, including stockings, ornaments, and other items, should be taken down.
PINE CONES
Winter decorating is about natural elements, and Pine cones are a great way to incorporate nature into your winter decor’. There are many uses of pine cones as decorations, and the winter decorating is one of them. A common idea is to put pine cones you have in a vase or small tray with candles so they can be utilized as a centerpiece or tabletop decoration or for a winter dinner setting.
BLANKETS,THROWS AND PILLOWS
Fabrics that are cozy and warm are another element of winter  Everyone has a cozy throw to lay across the sofa, so use it in your winter decorations.  If your throw is themed for a season that is not winter, you’ll have to buy a throw.  I was able to get a throw for only $7.00 while shopping at my local drugstore.  However, I seen throws for a discount price at varies stores.  If you can’t find a cheap one there are some at Amazon.
Pillows are also a staple of winter decorating. I’ve also seen these around for a low price. However, the most cost effective means of buying pillows is to get a pillow inserts. You can change out the covers more frequently.  If you are really trying to save, you should look at the many different places around the internet that show how to make a throw pillow.
LIGHTS
CANDLES
Candles are a great decoration for the winter season.  Candles are available in good-smelling scents, in addition to a bit of a cozy feel.  Candles can be bought cheaply at the dollar store or gotten for free around the house (just make sure the candles are not reminisce of Christmas.)
STRING LIGHTS
String lights aren't for the Christmas tree anymore. String lights are another light source
you can use for decorations. If you have clear lights leftover from Christmas you can use
these for your winter decorations. Strings lights can look good simply by putting them
in a jar or using with another decoration or alone. Those who want a fairy core aesthetic
will love the twinkle of these lights.
WREATH
Plain wreaths are another Christmas item that can be used as winter decor.  Many find these
a great way to make the winter season festive. Transform holiday wreaths to winter wreaths
by removing all the things that made it a Christmas wreath.
HOT COCOA BAR
Holiday hot cocoa bars are quickly becoming a holiday staple. However, they can be
used throughout the winter season as a cozy little retreat. If you have a hot cocoa bar replace
holiday mugs with regular mugs. Of course, remove any other holiday items and you will
have it. You can choose to add snowmen decor or a snowflake decor, but it really doesn't
matter
It is best that you plan ahead and incorporate these items into your holiday decorations.
You should decorate with your living room in mind, and perhaps after Christmas. it should
be easier and cheaper to take the Holiday out and while leaving the winter in.
